Virginia Cruvant Zimmerman Sharp

Virginia Cruvant Zimmerman Sharp, died March 15, 2013. Wife of the late R. Reuben Zimmerman and the late Milton I. Sharp, leaves three very loved sons and daughters-in-law; Stuart (Kathy) Zimmerman, Lon (Judy) Zimmerman, and Jim (Vicky) Zimmerman. She was known affectionately as GeeGee by her six grandchildren, Robert (Mike Mordeson) Zimmerman, Susan (Henry) Jenkins, Pamela (Mike Kimmel) Zimmerman, Craig Zimmerman, Sarah Zimmerman, and Vivian Zimmerman, and three great-grandchildren, Ginny and Sadie Jenkins and Mady Kimmel. She was the daughter of the late Ida (Waldman) and Sol Cruvant, the sister of the late Buddy (Betty) Cruvant, and extended family through marriage to Barb (Bill) Jensen, Ira (Rose Ann) Sharp, Sally Harman, and Jackie (Cliff) Schroeder, and grandmother to their eight children. She had been an active volunteer her entire life having served twice as President of Miriam #17, and been active and presided over many other charitable organizations in St. Louis and Palm Springs, including being a docent at the Museum of the Desert in Palm Springs. She often said her family was the joy of her life and she loved nothing better than being with her children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren. A celebration of her life will be announced at a later date.
