Theodore Leo Listerman, age 94, on March 17. Ted is survived by his wife Shirley, daughter Susan Webber (Richard), granddaughters Hillary Webber (Eric Conn) and Joanna Webber (Alexander Loyd), great grandsons Theo and Adrian Conn, and many cherished friends.
Beloved for his sharp wit, kindness, and intelligence, he will be greatly missed. Born in the Bronx and raised in New Jersey, Ted moved to St. Louis in 1961. He was in the apparel business and the owner of Verona Mfg, located on the Hill. After retiring, Ted earned an MA in History from UMSL, then pursued a PhD at SLU. He was an active participant in Wash U Lifelong Learning classes and U City’s Great Books Bookclub. In recent years, he looked forward to discussions of world events with his comrades in the Steak and Whiskey Club. A veteran of WWII, Ted will be buried at Jefferson Barracks Cemetery.
