
Suzanne Feldman Lasky, October 15, 1927 – October 15, 2025
Suzanne Feldman Lasky, passed away peacefully on her 98th birthday, in Miami, Florida. She was born at the historic Watterson Hotel in Louisville, Kentucky, to the late Joseph and Mildred Feldman. She raised her family in St. Louis, and in her later years travelled back and forth, from St. Louis to Miami, with the care of her daughters, Shelley, Debby, and Nancy.
In 1982, her husband, Alvin Norton Lasky passed on. They shared many loving years of marriage. Three years after he passed, she met Jack Ansehl of St. Louis, MO., and was fortunate to share a devoted partnership of more than 20 years ,and together they traveled the world.
Suzanne was a true Artist, her creativity was boundless. She wore many hats, and was an accomplished painter and Interior designer. After her husband passed, Suzanne volunteered at the Jewish Hospital gift shop as their buyer for many years. She also volunteered for many other organizations in St. Louis. Together with her daughter Nancy, they created Camille Designs Inc. and sold her ribbon knit sweaters, nationally and internationally. Suzanne’s impeccable style and thoughtful eye reflected her deep appreciation and the joy found in everyday life.

For 75 years she was a season ticket holder as her mother Mildred Rottenberg Feldman, in 1922, sang and danced on the Muny stage, which spurned her lifelong love of the theatre.
Suzanne was an enthusiastic sports fan, she especially loved football and baseball, always rooting for her team, especially the St. Louis Cardinals and the Rams.
Suzanne’s energy and generosity were unmatched. She built deep and lasting friendships with all that she touched. She spent a lifetime of sharing kindness, humor and care. She had a way of making others feel seen and loved, often leaving fresh flowers and something to eat for her daughters and friends, when returning from a trip. She would show up without hesitation when someone needed her. Her creativity and loving actions found their way into every corner of her life.
A true matriarch, her greatest devotion was to her family who she adored and cherished. She loved caring for others and ensuring her family’s happiness and security. She is survived by her beloved daughters, Shelley Silver, Debby Hanna Lasky, Nancy Laurie and her husband Edward Laurie. Also, her grandchildren, Julia Gordon and her husband Darren, Dory Silver, Ali Cantino and her husband Joe. Also her great grandchildren, Eli Gordon, Sadie Gordon, and McCarthy Cantino.
Suzanne will be remembered for her beauty, vibrant spirit, generous heart, impeccable taste and the deep love she shared with her family and friends. Her presence filled every room and her legacy of creativity, care and connection will live on in all who were fortunate to have known her.
Funeral Service: Monday October 21 at 1:00 pm, at Berger Memorial, 9430 Olive Blvd, 63132. (also available by Live Stream) Visitation 12:30-1:00pm. Burial will follow at New Mt. Sinai Cemetery, 8430 Gravois Rd, 63123.
Shiva immediately following, approximately 3:30pm – 6:00 pm, at the St. Louis Club, 7676 Forsyth Blvd, Clayton, MO. 63105.
