Steven “Steve” Alan Simon

Beloved husband of Lael Richter Simon; dear father of Richard Simon and Hannah Simon; dear brother of Suzy Simon Sanoff (Joel Sanoff) and Carolyn Simon; dear brother-in-law of the late Sarah Richter Fridman (the late Max Fridman) and Dr. Miriam Richter Cohen (Dr. Eric Cohen); dear son of the late Richard “Dick” and late Hortense “Horty” Simon and the late Dr. Samuel Richter and late Virginia Richter; and dear uncle, cousin and friend to many.

Steve enjoyed spending time with his family, including his four-legged family. He treasured his many years at North Star Camp for Boys and his life-long camp friends.

Steve was a proud graduate of Clayton High School, the University of Kansas (B.A.), and the University of Missouri – Columbia (M.B.A.).

For more than 40 years, Steve was a group benefits professional. During the past 15 years, he was employed as a groups benefits practice leader at the Crane Agency and enjoyed his work colleagues.

Funeral Service Friday December 1, 2023 12 PM at Congregation Temple Israel, 1 Alvin D. Rubin Dr. 63141. There will be no visitation.  Burial will follow at Beth Hamedrosh Hagodol Cemetery, 9125 Ladue Rd. In lieu of flowers, Memorial contributions preferred to the American Liver Foundation (www.liverfoundation.org).
