Sol Israel, died October 21, 2010 at the age of 79, just one day shy of his 80th birthday. At his request, a private graveside service was held on Friday, October 22. Mr. Israel was born October 22, 1930, in New York City. He and his wife, Blossom, moved to St. Louis in 1962 as Mr. Israel was beginning his career in the advertising business. He went on to open his own agency. They say that when an old man dies, a library closes. Such is the case with Mr. Israel. He was an encyclopedia of information, an authority on numerous topics, a devoted husband, brother, father and grandfather.
