Sol Daniels, 99, of Overland Park, KS, passed away on Sunday, August 7, 2016, at Village Shalom in Overland Park.  Beloved husband for nearly 66 years to the late Mollie Dreiseszun Daniels, Sol was the father of Sandra (Richard) Hitt, Chesterfield, MO, and Bruce Daniels, Overland Park, KS.  Devoted “Papa” and grandfather to Jamie (David) Steinbach, Olivette, MO;  Jenifer (Brian) Caracciolo, Northbrook, IL; Samantha (Samuel) Feinberg, Prairie Village, KS; Jessica(David) Kooris, Stamford, CT; Sara (Danny) Wajcman, Rachel (Brian) Gruber, Rayna Maayan Daniels and Micah Naftali Daniels, all of Overland Park, KS.  Great-grandchildren: Jack, Max, Sadie, Alana, Risa, Ava, Dahlia, Eva, Michaela, Fina, Kira, Maya, Shayna, Akiva and Yaakov. 

Sol is also survived by his sister, Dina Jaben, Virginia Beach, VA, sisters-in-law Irene Dreisezun and Anita Daniels, Overland Park, KS and many nieces and nephews.  He was also preceded in death by his sisters Rosie Daniels and Jean Zurovsky, and brother, Harry Daniels.

A lifetime member of Kehilath Israel Synagogue in Overland Park, KS, Sol was a notorious sweets lover who never met a candy bar or ice cream treat he didn’t like.  Always a quick wit, Sol kept everyone on their toes to the very end.  Tremendously devoted to his family, he will be missed by all.

Burial was in Kansas City, MO, and the family suggests contributions to the Sherman and Irene Dreiseszun Court Fund at Kehilath Israel Synagogue, 10501 Conser, Overland Park, KS 66212, or a charity of one’s choice.
