Sol Baker, died November 27, 2010 after a long battle with Alzheimer’s disease. Widower of Rose Ann Baker; father of Lesley (Mark) Levin, Larry Baker of Portland, Ore., and Sandra (Rick) Zeckel of Indianapolis, Ind; grandfather of Sara Levin, Josh Levin, Adam (Lindsay) Zeckel, Audrey (Bryan) Kelly, Aaron Baker, Madeline Baker, Jacob Zeckel; great-grandfather of two. Born December 24, 1918 in Cleveland, Ohio, Baker graduated from Ohio State University with an engineering degree and went to work for NACA (now called NASA). He moved his family to Indianapolis, Ind. in 1959 when he went to work for Union Carbide.
