Shulamith (Blondie) Mellman died on January 18, 2025 at the age of 86.
Blondie was the youngest daughter of Zelig and Anne Mellman. Her two sisters Aida Kahn and Nona Katz predeceased her. She is survived by her nieces and nephews Sima Kahn (Alan Rothblatt), Eve Dyson (Ed Dyson), Joe Kahn, Steve Katz (Janice Katz). She is survived by great-nieces and nephews Heather Katz, Elias Rothblatt, Emily Katz, and Levi Dyson. Her niece, Sue Bussman, predeceased her as well.
Blondie was a PhD Psychologist. During her career she worked with college students in the university setting. She became director of health and counseling at University of St. Francis in Joliet, IL and Lewis University in Romeoville, IL. After she retired she moved back to St. Louis to be near family.
Funeral will be graveside at Chesed Shel Emeth on Hanley Road on Thursday, January 23 at 12 pm.
