Shirley Rosen Lucas, died February 7, 2014. Beloved wife of Jules Lucas for 63 years.  Dear mother of Mark Lucas, Bruce (Geralyn) Lucas and Debbi (Howard) Cohen.  Loving grandmother of Jacob Lucas, Carly Lucas, Alexa Lucas, Elizabeth (Steven) Levy and David (Carolyn) Cohen.  Dear sister of Flora (Stanley) Schwartz and Harry (Debbie) Rosen.  Beloved former mother-in-law of Rebecca Levy.  Our dear aunt, cousin and friend. Mrs. Lucas was a professional violinist having performed with the Memphis Symphony; and also at the Muny and Six Flags.  She was the music teacher at United Hebrew congregation and taught private lessons for 55 years to over 300 violinists, violists, cellists, pianists and guitarists.  Shirley was a Past President of the St. Louis Chapter of B’nai Brith Women.  Graveside service Monday, February 10, 11:00 AM at Chesed Shel Emeth Cemetery, 7550 Olive Blvd.  In lieu of flowers, contributions in her memory may be made to the charity of the donor’s choice.
