Sharon was born in St. Louis but spent her early years growing up in Desloge, Missouri. She graduated from Desloge High School in 1963 and graduated from Southeast Missouri State College in 1967 with a Bachelor of Music Education. She lived in North Carolina and Indiana before moving to Florida with her family and newborn son, Jason, in 1975.
Sharon was a devoted mother and focused on quality time assisting Jason with his many after school events each evening.
For over 30 years, Sharon worked as a graphic artist while pursuing her lifelong passion of studying, teaching, and performing hula, Maori, and Tahitian dancing in her free time, which included many trips to the South Pacific. She also tap danced with a senior group and taught senior aerobics.
Sharon spent three decades volunteering at the Cocoa Village Playhouse, both as a performer in the early years and later as an assistant to the costume designer. Her retirement years were kept busy with Hawaiian dancing, sewing costumes at the Cocoa Village Playhouse, leading exercise classes, and teaching hula at the local senior center.
Although Sharon was very active and maintained several hobbies. She also enjoyed spending time with friends, however, her greatest joy was her two young granddaughters Fern and Skye.
Graveside service Wednesday, April 16, 11:00am at B’nai Amoona Cemetery, 930 North and South Road.
