Beloved husband of Naomi Mazur Silvermintz for 69 years; dear father and father-in-law of Elaine (Robert, M.D.) Kaufman and Mark (Donald Posegate) Silvermintz; dear grandfather of Jennifer (Bryan Faller, M.D.) Kaufman M.D. and Jay (Michelle) Goldwin) Kaufman, Captain Benjamin (Chelsea) Silvermintz and Rebecca (Gary) Craig; dear great-grandfather of Zosia Eve Faller; dear son of the late Morris (the late Sarah) Silvermintz; dear brother and brother-in-law of the late Wilbur (the late Loretta) Silvermintz; dear son-in-law of the late Rabbi Jacob R. (the late Edith) Mazur; former father-in-law of Ferne (Ronald) Wiesenthal; our dear uncle, cousin and friend. Dr. Silvermintz was a graduate of both Washington University and Washington University Medical School. He served as a captain in the U.S. Army Medical Corps during World War II. Dr. Silvermintz was a highly respected physician and mentor to many. He was in private practice for 50 years.
