Sara Jane Weinhaus (nee Bermi), June 9, 1921 – May 24, 2016. 

Beloved wife of the late Dr. Robert Weinhaus. Devoted mother of Carol Weinhaus and Richard (Karen) Weinhaus.  

Beloved grandmother of Josh Weinhaus and Sonia Weinhaus. Devoted sister of Sydine Fredman and Samuel Bermi.  Aunt and friend to many. Dear friend of Coleen Duchild, Janet Clenendin and Kate Walsh who cared for Jane with utmost love and devotion. 

Jane was an outstanding scholar at Soldan High School and Washington University. She taught English at University City High School. She loved her family, her friends, her students, reading, mindfulness meditation, music, her garden and the many cats who visited her over the years. 

A special thank you to St. Luke’s Hospice Care and their dedicated staff and caregivers.  

A service in Jane’s memory will be held at 10:00 am on Friday, May 27 at Berger Memorial Chapel, 9430 Olive Boulevard, Olivette, Missouri, 63132.  Visitation at 9:30 am.  Interment at Chevra Kadisha Cemetery, 1601 North & South Rd.
