Sanford “Sandy” Krug, 79, of Prairie Village, Kan. passed away Saturday, January 21, 2012. Funeral services were held on Monday, January 23, at The Louis Memorial Chapel, Kansas City, Missouri, with burial at Rose Hill Cemetery. Sandy was a lifelong Kansas City resident who graduated from Paseo High School and served in the United States Air Force, attaining the rank of Sergeant. He worked in the family business, Osage Iron & Metal Co. prior to owning and operating Olson Industries for over 25 years before his retirement. Sandy was an avid antique car collector and exhibitor. His passions also included bowling, golfing, boating, and music. He was a member of The Temple, Congregation B’nai Jehudah, and a lifelong member of B’nai B’rith and its bowling league. He was preceded in death by his parents, Meyer and Ida Krug and his wife, Jacquelynne Krug. He is survived by his wife, Barbara Krug, of the home; children: Cindy (Rob) Daniels and children, Jeffrey and Marla, Overland Park, KS, Mark (Elise) Krug and children, Paige and Rachel, St. Louis, MO, Vicki Meininger (Steve Hicks), Richmond, VA, Anne Meininger, Calgary, Alberta, Canada, Heidi Meininger, Overland Park, KS, Kurt (Kim) Meininger, New Town, MO, Kate (Michael) Wyse, Overland Park, KS, Jim Jacobs, Dallas, TX and Julie (Terry) Riebel, Louisville, KY; sister, Noreen Greenberg, and former wife, Judy Krug.
