Samuel Rothschild, died March 30, 2015. Beloved husband of Evelyn Rothschild; dear father of Michael, Roz, Joyce, David, Mark and Tina Rothschild; dear grandfather of Dustin and Daniel Rothschild O’Brien,  Tiffany Rothschild Oiknine and Larisa Koyen; dear great-grandfather of Liam, Lily, Lachlan and Makenzie Rothschild O’Brien, and Rina, David, Yaacov, Shira, Rachel and Esther Rothschild Oiknine; son of the late Yaacov and Chana Rothschild. He came to America at the age of 11, in 1924 without knowing a word of English. Within 7 years he finished first in his class in history and math in his high school graduating class in New York City. He went on to M.I.T. in Boston and the United States Army in World War II. After the war he owned a small business in St. Louis for 25 years. His hobbies were his children. He devoted all of his time to helping, providing for and giving guidance to his children. He also finished at the top of his class in being a role model as a parent. Thus he will always be remembered by his children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren as a wonderful father, grandfather and great-grandfather. Contributions to a charity of your choice.
