Samuel Goldstein, April 25, 2025
Beloved father and father-in-law of Daniel Goldstein (Absera Melaku), Debbie Fox (Drae), and Dena Goldstein; dear grandfather of Axum and Abyssinia Goldstein and Madison and Isaac Fox; dear son of the late Bernice and the late L. Louis Goldstein; dear brother of the late Barry Goldstein; dear uncle, cousin, and friend to so many.
To those who knew him, he was also a most trusted advisor, a walking Cardinals encyclopedia, a student of Jewish history, a proud Washington University alumnus, a global traveler, and a stranger to no one.
Sam’s warmth, curiosity and friendliness touched the lives of all who knew him. He was known for his sense of humor, fierce love of his family, and ability to make people feel important through his genuine questions. He will be missed, but his memory will continue to live on in the hearts of those who loved him.
His legacy is a deep love and pride for his children and grandchildren and the friends he made from all over the world.
As we say goodbye to a beloved father, Zayde, uncle, cousin, and friend, we are reminded of his commitment to his values and the indelible mark he left on this world.
In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to Washington University in St. Louis or the St. Louis Kaplan Feldman Holocaust Museum.
