Sadie worked for the San Bernardino city schools as a teacher’s aide and library aide for more than twenty years.  She loved helping children.  She used to hold annual book fairs in the library of the elementary school where she worked, dressing up as characters from some of the children’s favorite books.  Sadie taught Sunday school and sang in the choir of her local temple (Temple Emanu El) for many years.  She used to knit, loved roses and especially butterflies.

Once she retired from the city school system, she volunteered at the pharmacy on the local Air Force Base (Norton AFB).  When that closed, she volunteered in the pharmacy at Loma Linda University Hospital in Loma Linda, CA.  In her later years, she enjoyed playing bingo at the Senior Center in Redlands, CA, also helping staff with lunches and set-up of the bingo room.

She enjoyed the theater especially musicals and comedies.  She and her daughter, Nessa, used to attend the plays at the Music Center in Los Angeles regularly.  The last play she attended was in November of last year.
