Ruth P. Eltinge

Ruth P. Eltinge, November 26, 2023

Beloved wife of the late Ervin Eltinge. Dear mother of Jennifer (Ken) Stanfield and Hannah (Nimrod) Levy. Loving grandmother of Benjamin Stanfield, Ash Levy, Danya Levy, Caleb Stanfield, Noam Levy, and Shira Levy. Dear sister of the late Gloria Bixhorn, the late Leon Pearlstone, and the late Charles Pearlstone. Beloved daughter of the late Mose and Helen Pearlstone. Our dear aunt, great-aunt, cousin and friend.

Ruth was born and grew up in University City, Missouri. After she met her husband, they moved to the Creve Coeur and Chesterfield, Missouri areas where she stayed at home and raised two daughters while completing her undergraduate and master’s degrees in Social Work.

Her dream was to help people the best ways she could. Unfortunately, she had to put aside the profession to help manage and run the family cab company business when her in-laws passed away.

Ruth continued to use her talents to comfort friends and family. When her grandchildren were born, she took great pride in them as well. In the last few weeks before her passing, she was the catalyst that helped heal wounds in the family and brought them closer together. She will be missed more than she’d ever believe.

Graveside service Thursday, November 30, 12:30 PM at Chesed Shel Emeth Cemetery, 7550 Olive Blvd. Contributions in her memory may be made to Dror Israel (https://www.drorisrael.org/emergency-response) or A Cat’s Life Rescue (https://www.acatsliferescue.org/donate).
