Roy M. Wohl

Roy M. Wohl, died April 6, 2011at the age of 93 in Coconut Creek, Fl. Husband of Alayne Wohl of Creve Coeur to whom he was married since 1952; son of the late Harry (the late Flora) Wohl; brother of Harry J. Wohl; father of Barry Wohl of Charlotte, N.C. and Randy Wohl of Ma’ale Adumim, Israel; father-in-law of Lisa Wohl and Debra Wohl; grandfather of Ethan, Eliraz, Emma, Amit, and Shilo Wohl; brother-in-law of Alvin D.; uncle of Roberta Wohl Francis. Memories of Roy’s generous love, guidance, and support will be treasured. He grew up in New York City, then moved to St. Louis, Mo. in the 1940s. He was an intelligent, talented, kind-hearted, well-spoken, even-tempered, and affable man with passions for reading, writing, photography, films, foreign travel, wine, and healthful living. He lived a peaceful but full life devoted to his family, punctuated with much humor, laughter, friendship, and love. Much of his career he was an executive with the Angelica Uniform Co., which benefited from his creativity and expertise in advertising and sales promotion. He was interred with a “green burial” at Forest Lawn East Cemetery, in Charlotte, N.C. April 8, 2011. The service was by and for close family members.
