Rose Lee Bell

Rose Lee Bell, 82 of Las Vegas, Nevada, passed away on Wednesday, September 15, 2021. Rose was born in St. Louis, Missouri on February 24, 1939 to parents Selma and Raphael Farer. Rose graduated from Washington University in St. Louis with a BA in history. Later in life, she received an MPH and PhD from University of Texas School of Public Health. She worked as the head of the epidemiology department for both the Harris County and Clark County health departments.

Rose is survived by her husband of 63 years, Allan Bell, of Las Vegas, her three children, Maury Bell (Kate Keatley) of Chicago, IL, and Richard Bell (Michele) of St. Louis, MO, and Randi Lampert (Robert) of Las Vegas, NV. She is also survived by her seven grandchildren, Jason Bell of New York City, Zachary Bell of Los Angeles, CA, Emily Bell of New York City, April and Marshall Bell of Chicago, IL, Aaron and Daniel Lampert of Las Vegas, NV and her brother Leon Farer of Del Rey Beach, FL.

Services were held graveside at 11 am on Sunday, September 19 at Woodlawn Cemetery, 1500 North Las Vegas Boulevard.
