MAYER, ROSE CELESTE (nee Weintraub)

Daughter of the late Jacob and Sophie Weintraub. Beloved wife of 61 years of the late Rolf Mayer; mother and mother-in-law of Sharon (Phillip) Estaver and Gary (Velvet) Mayer and the late Arthur Mayer; grandmother of Aron and David (Melissa) Estaver and Rane, Race, Noah and Trooper Mayer; great grandmother of Emma Estaver; sister and sister-in-law of the late Bette (Adolph) Cohen, the late Loretta (Arthur) Shulman, the late Shirley (Sam) Karp, Marion (the late Frank) Meyer, Ben (Rosetta) Weintraub, Hans (Margie) Mayer, Kay (the late Ludwig) Mayer;  aunt and great aunt of many beloved nieces and nephews and great nieces and nephews.  Special aunt of Sandra and Marvin Sher and Harvey and Betty Ann Cohen; friend to dearest friends Kenneth and Eve Wilde. 

Rose was a life member of Hadassah and AMC Cancer Center of St. Louis; Oasis reading center and a hospital volunteer.  Rose relocated to Lincolnshire, Illinois in 2011 to be near her daughter.

 

Graveside service Thursday, October 8, 10:30 AM at United Hebrew Cemetery,7855 Canton Avenue.  Contributions in her memory may be made to United Hebrew Congregation, 13788 Conway Road, St. Louis, MO, 53141;  Hadassah,12 Millstone Campus Drive, St. Louis, MO, 63146;  or to  AMC Cancer Research.
