Robert I. Bean, June 30, 2017

Beloved husband of Adelaide Itzkowitz Bean.  Loving father of Joy (Martin) Satz, Sherry (the late Robert) Chappell and Jack (Nancy) Itzkowitz.  Loving grandfather of Leon Satz, Stacy (Michael) Sarner, Thomas Flynn, Kevin (Nicole) Flynn, Laura (Arturo) Serrano, Leslie (Adam Pritzker) Chappell, Jonathan Itzkowitz, and Robert (Rebecca) Itzkowitz.  Dear great grandfather of Rose Sarner, Rayna Flynn, William Itzkowitz and Elliyana Serrano.  Our dear uncle, great uncle, cousin and friend to many. 

Robert was a graduate of Soldan High School, attended Drexel University, and was a graduate of Washington University and the Graduate School of Consumer Banking at the University of Virginia.  He served as Mayor of the City of Olivette.  He also served on the Planning and Zoning and Charter Commission, and on the board of the Valley Forge General Hospital.  Robert retired from Mercantile Bank as a Vice President and was a past chairman for Consumer Credit Counseling Service.

Graveside service Sunday, July 2, 2:30 PM at Beth Hamedrosh Hagodol Cemetery, 9125 Ladue Road.  Contributions in his memory may be made to the Harvey Kornblum Jewish Food Pantry, 10950 Schuetz Road, St. Louis, MO, 63146.  Special thanks to Beryl, Cassie and Tony of Extended Hands.
