Rhoda Beth Becker

Rhoda Beth Becker passed away peacefully on July 26, surrounded by loving friends. She was a resident of Mason Point Assisted Living for many years. Rhoda was an avid reader, student of Jewish thought and history, craftswoman and volunteer in organizations devoted to women’s rights. Her interest in current events and contemporary issues connected her to people of diverse backgrounds.

Rhoda shared her expertise in crocheting and knitting with family and friends near and far, Jewish organizations, and mohels in St. Louis and beyond who received kippot for newborn babies.

Rhoda was her family historian, informing relatives of memorable anecdotes, personalities and dates. During her working years, Rhoda was part of a family mail-order business and was employed by the Jewish War Veterans.

Bais Abraham was her spiritual home. She used her writing and organizational skills there for many years, and when she no longer was able to attend services, she maintained a close relationship with her rabbis and friends.

Daughter of the late Frances and Simon Becker, Rhoda is survived by many cousins. Donations in Rhoda’s memory may be made to Congregation Bais Abraham.
