Regina Dorothy Landon Jick

Regina Dorothy Landon Jick, died September 9, 2015. Adored wife of the late Dr. Sidney Jick; treasured mother and mother-in-law of Laura Faith Dardick (Jeffrey) and the late Dr. David E. L. Jick (Sharon); beloved daughter and daughter-in-law of the late Rosalie Greenberg Landon and the late Henry Landon and the late Morris E.L. Jick and the late Fanny B. Jick; darling grandmother of Anna Hope Dardick, Joseph Morris Dardick, Ethan Savit Jick and Eliana Rachel Jick.

Gina was a truly graceful and beautiful woman who never uttered an unkind word, admired nature and the arts with wondrous awe and creativity and lovingly devoted herself to her husband and family.  Gina was born in New York City, attended Sarah Lawrence College and met Sidney as he was finishing his fellowship in cardiology at Mount Sinai Medical Center while she was working as a magazine copy writer. She happily lived in St. Louis for over 50 years, became a life member of The Pioneers literary club, worked as a freelance jewelry designer for Neiman Marcus and became a member of the St. Louis Artist Guild. She was never happier than when she was drawing, writing or reading great books. Gina adored her grandchildren and she will be forever missed by all who knew her.

The family wishes to thank the community of nurses and caregivers, including Anne and Michelle, and the “ladies” who loved and nurtured her at the end of her life. They were a blessing.
