Ralph William Kalish, Jr. died suddenly May 4, 2014.  Cherished husband of Eleanor Withers; proud and adoring father of Manning W. Kalish (Mary Elliott McKetta), Powell W. Kalish (fiancée Danielle M. Reust), and Graham W. Kalish; prized brother of Karen S. Kalish and Nan K. Goodmann (Allan J.) and stepbrother of Carter B. Smith (Heidi Currier) and Scott R. Smith; treasured son of the late Ralph W. Kalish and Alberta Shield Kalish and stepson of the late Beverly Bissell Kalish; extraordinary uncle, cousin, godfather, in-law, and friend. Most talented mentor, thespian, writer, attorney, restauranteur, historian, baseball fan, genealogist, mediator, our rock and inspiration, and prankster.  Services:  Funeral will be held at Temple Israel on Friday May 9^th at 11:00 a.m.  Reception at the Temple immediately following the service.  Burial will be private. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions can be made to: Temple Israel – Wall of Honor (www.ti-stl.org); Trailnet (www.trailnet.org), St. Luke’s Hospital – Beverly and Ralph Kalish Fund (www.stlukes-stl.com)
