Priscilla Mae Ayers (nee Schaeffer), November 3, 2016.

Dear mother of Robert Andrew (Michael Louque) Ayers. Beloved daughter of the late Sam and Bess Rosen Schaeffer. Dear sister of the late Marlyn (the late Alyn V.) Essman. Beloved aunt of Sharyn Essman, Judy Essman (Todd) Taylor and Lynda Ariella. Loving great aunt of Bennett, Isabelle, Aliyah, Joshua and Jordan. Our dear cousin and friend.

Priscilla was a graduate of University City High School, Jefferson College and Lindenwood University. She retired in 2003 after a 33 year career as a registered nurse. Her career took her to every state in the U.S. plus Paris, Amsterdam, Italy, Austria, Germany, China and Israel. She worked at the National Cancer Institute in Bethesda, MD and for several large pharmaceutical companies, where she specialized in cancer immunology, teaching specific cancer protocol to doctors and nurses. 

Private family graveside services were held. Contributions in her memory may be made to the Essman-Schaeffer Camp Scholarship Fund, C/O Congregation Shaare Emeth, 11645 Ladue Road, St. Louis, MO, 63141.
