Born in Atlanta, Ga., the youngest daughter of the late Samuel (the late Rachel Hirsh) Wender, she spent most of her adult life in St. Louis, Mo.; mother of Susan (Michael) Rosen of Northbrook, Ill., and Jill (Kent) Genter of Stoughton, Wis.; grandmother of Matthew, Sam, and Charlie Rosen, Ethan and Isabelle Genter and the late Elizabeth Hannah Rosen; sister of Eleanor (the late Roy) Feinberg of Parkland, Fl., and Marion (Oscar) Cohen of Alexander City, Ala.; sister-in-law of Bettie (the late Solon) Gershman; aunt of many beloved nieces and nephews. A private funeral service is being held at B’nai Torah Temple in Highland Park, Ill. on Thursday, December 29, 2011. Burial is following at Memorial Park Cemetery in Skokie, Ill.
