Ora Levine, died November 8, 2013 at age 78. She was a devoted wife of 60 years and goes now to join her husband, Ralph Levine. She leaves behind three children, Dr. Eric (Jo) Levine, Leonard (Tina) Levine, and Lynn Levine (Daniel) Kleiman. She is remembered by her five grandchildren, Matthew (Mara) Kleiman, Elliott Kleiman, Jaclyn Levine, Michael Levine, and Adam Levine. Born in Tel Aviv well before the creation of the State of Israel, Ora comes from a family of early Eastern-European Zionists, many of whom left Europe between the World Wars and helped build Israel from the ground up. Immigrating to the United States at the age of three, Ora quickly adapted to her new setting in New York and became a Brooklyn girl. She met her husband, Ralph Levine, of blessed memory, on the Coney Island boardwalk and they soon began their 60 years of happy marriage. Frequently relocating with her husband and his career, Ora brought to each of their new homes her outgoing, friendly personality and sense of humor which many people came to love. Ora was blessed to return to Israel several times in her life and leaves behind her love of Israel, Yiddish, and Jewish culture. She also leaves behind her laughter, which those who spent time around her came to be very familiar with. Donations in Ora’s memory may be made to the Alzheimer’s Association, 9370 Olive Blvd, St. Louis, MO, 63132. Rindskopf-Roth
