Alan L. Mayer, died August 29, 2010. Beloved husband, father, father-in-law, grandpa, brother, brother-in-law, uncle, cousin and good friend; dear widow and companion of Silvia F. Mayer; devoted father of Andrew Lang (Deborah) Mayer and Lincoln Mayer; proud grandpa of Elena Besse Mayer and Jacob Saville Mayer; close brother of the late Robert M. (the late Marjorie W.) Mayer; dutiful son of the late Saville “Solly” Mayer and the late Selma Lang Mayer. Mr. Mayer was a proud veteran of World War II. He cherished his membership in the Zeta Beta Tau fraternity. He had a lifelong devotion to the Camp Nebagamon for Boys in Lake Nebagamon, WI. Thank you for your love and friendship. Alan often commented that because of his friends and family, he considered himself the luckiest man in the world. He was truly one of the good guys.
