Allan Owen Holtzman, died August 12, 2010 at the age of 81. Beloved husband of Doris Hereth Holtzman; dear father of David (Tracy), Denise Levitch (Jay), Daniel (Eileen); dear grandfather of Jacob, Julianna, and Jamie; dear son of the late Benjamin and Mollie Holtzman; dear brother of the late Florence Rosenbaum (the late Coleman), the late Mary Pollack (the late Maxwell), and the late Henry Holtzman (Jackie); dear brother-in-law of the late Lois Green (the late Robert), the late Melvin Hereth (Marilyn), the late Richard Hereth (the late Eileen) Elsie Rickey (Louis), and Lavern Brown. Allan attended Washington University (B.S. Architectural/Industrial Engineering, 1949; M.S. Industrial Engineering, 1955), U.S. Army 1951-1953. His first job was with I.E. Millstone and he co-owned B. Holtzman & Sons Machinery for many years. Employed by U.S. Defense Department from 1985-2005. He taught as an adjunct faculty member at Washington University School of Engineering and Applied Science, and University College for 52 years. He was dearly beloved by all and he will be sorely missed.
