Neil Norlin Bernstein

Neil Norlin Bernstein, died August 7, 2015 at age 83. He is survived by his beloved wife Marcia and his loving children Philip Bernstein (Michele) and Laura Dudley (Cosby), and his devoted grandchildren Tyler Bernstein, Ryan Bernstein, Caitlin Dudley and Kenan Dudley. Neil was born in Cheyenne, Wyoming and graduated from Cheyenne High School. He graduated in 1954 from the University of Michigan and in 1957 from Yale Law School. He taught for one year at Washington University School of Law in St. Louis, and then went to AT&T in New York as an antitrust attorney, waiting for an antitrust suit to be filed. He tired of waiting and returned to Washington University in 1967, where he taught for 38 years. In his “spare time” he was a labor arbitrator. He retired in 2005 and became Professor Emeritus. When younger, he was a dedicated bicyclist and runner. He was a lifelong avid reader, a lover of classical music, including Opera Theater of St. Louis, the St. Louis Symphony and the Ariana String Quartet, and a world traveler with Marcia. Funeral service August 12, 11:00 a.m. at Congregation Temple Israel, Ladue and Spoede Roads. Visitation Wednesday 10:30 a.m. Interment New Mt. Sinai Cemetery.
