Naomi Mazur Silvermintz, died December 10, 2015. Beloved wife of the late Saul D. Silvermintz, MD; dear mother and mother-in-law of Elaine (Robert, MD) Kaufman and Mark (Donald Posegate) Silvermintz; dear grandmother of Jennifer (Bryan Faller, MD) Kaufman, MD and Jay (Michelle) Kaufman, Benjamin (Chelsea) Silvermintz and Rebecca (Gary) Craig; dear great-grandmother of Zosia, Sawyer and Maya; dear daughter of the late Rabbi Jacob R. and the late Edith Mazur; dear sister of the late Dr. Sigmund Mazur and the late Dr. Herbert Mazur; former mother-in-law of Ferne (Ronald) Wiesenthal; our dear aunt, cousin and friend.

Naomi graduated from Washington University in St. Louis with a bachelor’s degree in business administration. She volunteered as a docent at the St. Louis Art Museum for more than 40 years and was a life member of Hadassah and the sisterhoods at B.S.K.I. and Kol Rinah. Naomi was an honorary lifetime member of the St. Louis Holocaust Museum and Learning Center. She was the author of The Brown Egg and The White Egg, a children’s book on racial equality.

Funeral service Sunday, December 13th, 11:00 AM at BERGER MEMORIAL CHAPEL, 9430 Olive Blvd. Visitation Sunday 10:30 AM.
