Nanette Bartfeld Holtzman

Nanette Bartfeld Holtzman, June 19, 2019.

Passed away peacefully Wednesday morning surrounded by her beloved family. Nanette grew up in U City and after graduating high school, she attended Stephens College for two years and studied art at Wash U. As a talented artist, she created beautiful artwork throughout her life, and worked as a commissioned artist on several projects. Nanette was affectionately known as ‘Nana’ to her family and friends.

Nana’s proudest accomplishment was raising her family alongside the love of her life, her late husband, Sidney. Nana proudly told everyone she met about her twelve grandchildren & two great-grandchildren, who are honored to carry on her legacy, alongside her two daughters, Dana (Troy) Holtzman Pohlman, Jill (Steve) Holtzman Starr, and her son, Bart (Patti) Holtzman. Nana’s grandchildren include Sidni (Dave), Jeffrey (Victoria), Hope, Ross, Samantha, Johnny, Stephanie, Sidney, Shawn, Madeline, Emma and Greta. And her great-grandchildren, Mason, Barrett, and Carolyn.

Nana’s greatest joy was spending quality time with close friends and her ever-growing family. Nana had a very full and happy life.

Private Services will be held. Contributions in Nana’s memory may be made to the Sidney Holtzman Camp Fund, Jewish Community Center, 2 Millstone Campus Drive, St. Louis, MO 63146 or to the charity of the donor’s choice.
