Nancy Weil Steele, died February 27, 2011. Beloved wife of L. Donald Steele; dear mother of Cathy Steele, Betsy (Jim) Backe, Don (Chris) Steele and Jerry Steele; dear Mimi of Kadtie (Jack) Wojciehowski, Tim San Filippo, Zach Steele, Joe Backe and fiance, Kate Wratten, Matt San Filippo, Nicholas Steele, Andrew Steele and Dillon Steele. Gimi of Grayce Wojciehowski; dear sister of Mike (Nancy) Weil and David (Ruth Halperin) Weil; our dear aunt, cousin and friend. “Madame Nancy” taught french at Lucky Lane Nursery School for 40+ years and was an active community volunteer. She was known by all for her love of life and family and her caring and compassion for others. Nancy courageously battled cancer for over 30 years and through it all, because of her friends and family, felt like she was the luckiest woman in the world. She was an inspiration and dazzled all with her trademark wit and sense of humor to the very end. Her family would like to thank Dr. Gershon Spector and Dr. Stephanie Hammer for their wonderful care. Her children are especially grateful for the love and support of her best friend and husband of 56 years. Heaven just got a lot more exciting!
