Miriam Weintrop (nee Suffian), December 14, 2023
Beloved wife and best friend of the late Harry Weintrop for 62 years. Dear mother of Jeff (Lori Shifter, and the late Lori March) Weintrop and Stacy (Howard) Neuman. Loving Nanny of Shannon (Joe) Rohlman, Adam (Erica) Weintrop, Alli Neuman and the late Mychel Neuman. Cherished great-grandmother of Lucy, Benjamin and Lily. Dear sister of Elaine (Murray) Stone. Beloved aunt of Denise (Dr. Phil) Apprill and Dana Stone. Best friend of 80 years to Shirlene Baris. Dear aunt, great aunt, cousin and devoted friend to many.
Miriam was dedicated to her community and served on the Board of the Jewish Family and Children’s Service as well as serving as President of their Auxiliary. She also volunteered at the Juvenile Court helping children.
A family who will cherish her memory as they celebrate her incredible life and all the wisdom and love that she passed down. She loved with all her heart and lived for the betterment of those around her.
Funeral service Monday, December 18, 12:00 PM at Central Reform Congregation, 5020 Waterman Blvd., with interment to follow at Chesed Shel Emeth Cemetery, 650 White Road. Visitation with Miriam’s family at 11:30 AM until time of service. Contributions in her memory may be made to the Alzheimer’s Association, 9370 Olive Blvd., St. Louis, MO, 63132 or to the Leukemia and Lymphoma Society, P.O. Box 22324, New York, NY 10087. The family would like to express their heartfelt gratitude for the incredible support of Miriam’s caregivers, Elena and Lidia; as well as to the staff at Pathways Hospice, including Chaplain Cathy, Nurse Sam, Nurse’s Aide Tyra and Tracy Feldman.
