Minnie (“Mickey”) Kalish Fishman passed away peacefully in Huntsville, AL at the age of 99 on December 11. She was born in St. Louis on April 9, 1919, the youngest of three children of the late William and Nettie Kalish.

Mickey was the beloved wife of the late Irwin (“Irv”) Fishman for nearly 63 years.  She is survived by her three sons, Ronald (Joyce) Fishman, of Denver, CO; Gerald (Nancy) Fishman of Huntsville, AL; and Jack (Sue) Fishman of St. Louis.  She is survived by eight grandchildren and six great-granddaughters; dear aunt, great-aunt and cousin.

Mickey was born and spent most of her life in St. Louis until moving to Huntsville in 2001. During her life in St. Louis, she had many friends and regularly got together playing cards and mahjong.  She was an avid reader and movie buff and always kept up with the latest Hollywood gossip.  She will be missed by those who knew her and loved her.

Services:  The funeral service will be 9:30 a.m., Sunday, December 16 at Berger Memorial Chapel, 9430 Olive Blvd. with burial at Chesed Shel Emeth Cemetery, 7550 Olive Blvd. Memorials appreciated to the American Diabetes Association, 2451 Crystal Drive, Suite 900, Arlington, VA 22202; Fragile X Resource Center of Missouri, 336 Country Club Drive, Ballwin, MO 63011; or to a charity of your choice.
