Mina  K. Edelman, M.D.  (nee Kantrovich), died August 28, 2013. Beloved wife of the late Irvin Edelman, D.D.S.  Dear mother of Ronald (Rachel) Edelman and Elaine (Joseph) Stein.  Loving grandmother of Michelle and Judy Stein, Steven, Marshall and Bryan Edelman.  Dear sister of the late Sara Lee Carr.  Beloved sister-in-law of Gene Carr and the late Hilda Edelman and Rose Weissberg.  Our dear aunt, cousin and friend. Dr. Edelman was one of the first four women to graduate, as a doctor, from Texas University Medical School in Galveston, TX.  She was the chief radiologist, and prior director, of the radiology department at St. Joseph’s Hospital in Breese, IL. Graveside service Thursday, August 29, 8:30 AM at New Mt. Sinai Cemetery, 8430 Gravois Road.  Contributions in her memory may be made to the JCC or to the Kaskaskia School of X-Ray Technology.
