Milton Rudy

Milton Rudy, died July 15, 2012. Beloved husband of over 54 years to Sonya “Sunny” Rudy; dear father and father-in-law of Harvey (Sharon) Rudy of Atlanta, Deborah “Debbie” (Thanh) Vo of Ellicott City, MD and Michael Rudy of Los Angeles; dear grandfather of Lauren Rudy, Olivia and Emma Vo; dear brother and brother-in-law of Frances “Frankie” (the late Allan) Siegel; dear brothers-in-law of Allen (Lee) Furfine and Charles “Chuck” (Carolyn) Furfine. Mr. Rudy lived much of his life in music; both personally and professionally. He taught music for over 30 years in the Ferguson-Florissant School District. As an accomplished trombone player, he frequently played with numerous local bands, was a former member of the St. Louis Symphony and returned to play with the symphony on several occasions. An active member of United Hebrew Congregation, he was also the congregation’s ba’al tekiah (shofar player) for 34+ years. He was a Mason, Shriner and a leader of the Moolah Temple Band. Temple service Tuesday, July 17th, 11 a.m. at United Hebrew Congregation, 13788 Conway Road, 63141. Visitation prior at 10:15 a.m. at United Hebrew. Interment follows at Beth Hamedrosh Hagodol Cemetery, 9125 Ladue Road, St. Louis, Mo.  63124.
