Michael J. deZonna

Michael J. deZonna, died October 10, 2010. Dear husband of Debbie H. (nee Imber); son of the late Joseph and Eleanor deZonna; loving father of Peyton Benton and Ellie Taylor deZonna; dear brother of Geralynn Perreau; treasured uncle to Kirk (Ann) Perreau, Ashley (Dan) Currier, Aliyah, Josh and Jordan Taylor, Jackson and Jonathan Imber; beloved son-in-law of Susan and Joel Allen; dear brother-in-law of Todd (Judy) Taylor and Stuart (Melanie) Imber. A native of Arlington Heights Illinois, Mr. deZonna was a standout high school football player at linebacker and running back and went on to star at Western Illinois University. He earned a Master’s in Psychology from Roosevelt University and was dedicated to the care and well being of others throughout his entire life. He recently held the position of CEO of Reed Rigging, a Chicago-based company which is the largest show rigging firm in the Midwest. He gave of himself tirelessly in charitable endeavors and coaching, notably to the Arlington Heights youth football program in which he took great pride in the standout achievements of his son, Peyton. A true renaissance man and accomplished raconteur, he was also known for his wit, affability, warmth, kindness and compassion. A college fund has been set up for Mr. deZonna’s children, with donations to the deZonna Memorial Fund being accepted at Village Bank and Trust, 311 S. Arlington Heights Road, Arlington Heights, Illinois 60005.
