Melba “Drew” Erlich

Melba “Drew” Erlich, died May 17, 2014. Drew met and married her husband, Max, when she was only 17. Max and Drew raised two sons, Bruce and Johnny. Sadly and tragically, both men died far too young. Drew gave of herself freely and volunteered at many Jewish organizations. She loved people and was an adventurous world traveler. She was a staunch liberal, proud of her Jewish heritage. Wherever Drew went — be it to Japan or to the beauty shop or the local library — she made immediate, lifelong friends. In her last year’s, Drew spent her time at home learning how to use a computer and doing skillful needlepoint. As always, in life and love, she was supported by Max, her husband of nearly 75 years. Private family graveside services were held. Contributions in her memory may be made to the Harvey Kornblum Jewish Food Pantry (located at the Max and Drew Erlich Center), C/O JF & CS, 10950 Schuetz Road, St. Louis, MO, 63146. Rindskopf-Roth
