Maurita Handelman, November 2, 2021

Beloved daughter of the late Albert and Annabel Schneider Handelman. Sister of Barry (Patricia) Handelman and the late Millisand (Jerome) Singer.  Beloved pet mother of her dog, Bobbi.  Dear aunt, cousin and friend of many.

Maurita had a long and varied work history.  In the 1970’s she worked at St. Joseph Hospital as a clerical and registration assistant; and beginning in 1980, she joined Community Federal Savings and Loan as an administrative assistant, responsible for handling foreign and domestic collections and audits of general ledgers.  After her career at Community Federal, she worked at Dick’s Sporting Goods handling retail sales.

Maurita liked to keep busy, and besides her work career, she enjoyed knitting beautiful sweaters, playing games on her computer, buying the latest gadgets, and going out to dinner.

At Maurita’s request no services will be held.  Contributions in her memory may be made to the Humane Society of Missouri, 1201 Macklind Avenue, St. Louis, MO, 63110 or to the animal related charity of the donor’s choice.
