Mary Fuller Bearman

Mary Fuller Bearman, died April 30, 2011 at the age of 85. Born June 21, 1925; wife of Morton R. Bearman since May 22, 1948; third daughter of the late Leo Charles Fuller and the late Myrtle Scharff Fuller; mother of Mary B. (Ladd) Rusk and Morton R. Bearman II (Marcie), Lee F. Bearman (Julie); grandmother of Sarah, Caroline, and Daniel Rusk, Robby and Kate Bearman and Alexandra and Leo Bearman. An artist and civic volunteer, she attended Community School, John Burroughs School, Bradford Junior College, and the Washington University School of Fine Arts. She lived a full and active life immersing herself in the arts, athletics, business, philanthropy, friends, and her family, She was an accomplished and award winning painter, was an avid tennis player, golfer and dancer and enjoyed all genres of music spending years studying piano. In 1974, she and two partners formed Creative Greenery, one of the earliest women-owned and operated businesses in St. Louis. She supported many charitable organizations, especially those involving arts and education. She was a Life Member of the Community School Association, was a loving and devoted wife, mother, grandmother, sister, aunt, and friend. Interment Private.
