Marvin Wallach, D.D.S., died September 30, 2013 at home, surrounded by his family. Born on April 24, 1920 to the late Joseph and the late Goldie Wallach; dearly beloved husband of 67 years to Mildred (Yanow) Wallach; dear father and father-in-law of Marc Allan (Danilee) Wallach, D.D.S. and Marilyn Wallach (David) Levinson; the adored grandfather of Max, Sam and Jake Wallach and Micah Levinson; loving brother of the late Sidney (the late Marga) Wallach; beloved brother-in-law of the late Mitchell (the late Elaine) Yanow, M.D.; beloved uncle of his nieces and nephews. Marvin Wallach graduated from Soldan High School where he played the violin in the school orchestra, which kindled his lifelong love of music. He graduated from Washington University-St. Louis in 1941. He then entered the army, serving in the Philippines, New Guinea and Japan. He was awarded the Bronze Star for his service. Upon completion of his military service he entered the Washington University School of Dentistry, from which he graduated in 1952. He began his dental practice as a sole practitioner and then was joined by his son, Marc. Dr. Wallach practiced dentistry for more than fifty-five years and was acknowledged by the Missouri Dental Board for his long and dedicated service to his profession. The family is deeply grateful to Donna Nowden and Yvonne Royston for the loving care they gave to their dear husband and father during his final illness. He will be deeply missed by his family and friends. Funeral service Friday, October 4th, 10:30 AM at Congregation Temple Israel-May Chapel, #1 Rabbi Alvan D. Rubin Drive (Ladue and Spoede Roads).
