Marvin Frederick Feldman MPA/HA, FASNC, NCT, CNMT, of Jefferson City, MO passed away on Friday, November 8, 2024 on his 75th birthday.
Marvin was born in St. Louis, MO in 1949 to the late Alexander Feldman and Sylvia Ann (Broder) Feldman.
A graduate of University City High School in St. Louis, Marvin attained a Bachelor degree at Harris Stowe State University in St. Louis. Marvin earned multiple advanced degrees at the University of Missouri, a Master in Nuclear Medicine and a Master of Public and Health Administration. He achieved multiple certifications and licenses in the field of Nuclear Medicine and Nuclear Cardiology.
He proudly served his country in the United States Air Force. Community minded, Marvin served as a City Councilman for 2 terms.
Marvin spent much of his professional career in health care, working for Capital Region Hospital (Still) for 17 years, the Missouri Department of Health for 5 years, and as the Director of Nuclear Cardiology Laboratory in Mexico for 6 years.
Marvin retired as a Professor of Nuclear Medicine at the University of Missouri. He was passionate about mentoring others in his field helping to shape the lives of those who followed in his footsteps.
Marvin’s greatest joy in life was his family. He was a devoted husband, father and grandfather (Oopa). Marvin was a beloved member of Temple Beth El and the Unitarian Universalist Assembly.
He will be deeply missed, but forever remembered for the love and joy he brought into the lives of those he touched.
On August 26,1973, he married the love of his life, Anita Leipziger. Together for 51 years they raised 3 daughters: Laura Ann Buschjost (John), Heather Lynn Lockett, and Marla Elizabeth Howeth (Dan). He was also the proud grandfather, (Oopa) to his adoring grandchildren: Madison Connell, Brady Connell (Destiny Musgrove), Liam Lockett, Layla Howeth, River Howeth, Brodie Drees, Bane Drees, Brock Drees, Lexi Buschjost, Maddox Buschjost, and Jaxon Buschjost.
Marvin is survived by his wife, daughters, sons in law, and grandchildren, his sister Shelly Bricker (Jim), and a large extended family and circle of friends.
A graveside service will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Tuesday, November 19, 2024, at Riverview Cemetery in Jefferson City, Missouri.
Expressions of sympathy in his honor may be made to the University of Missouri, Department of Nuclear Medicine.
