Marlene Sherman, March 12, 1947 – February 13, 2020

Marlene Sherman passed away peacefully surrounded by her family and loved ones.

Beloved wife of William “Billy” Sherman to whom she was married for 53 years. Adored mother of Brandy (Eddie) Scheer, Todd (J.J.) Sherman, Blake (Simon Nagle) Sherman, and Valerie (Chris) Wetherington. Cherished grandmother of Bradley and Jessica Scheer and Emma and Andrew Nail.  Precious sister- in- law to Alan, Melvin and Barry (Myra) Sherman and Florene (the late David) Meyers.  Dearly loved cousin of Stan Brasch, Charlene (Michael) Glassman, Mike Stein, Janet (Doron) Elam, Sharon Jordan and many others. Dear aunt and friend. Loving pet mom and grandmother to Darcy, Chance, Reilly, Max and Violet.

Marlene was born and lived her entire life in St. Louis. In addition to devoting endless love, support and caring to her family, Marlene served as an absolute treasure to everyone she met, be it through her work as a pre-school teacher, camp supervisor, restaurateur with her husband at Billy Sherman’s Deli or as a personal fashion shopper.

A funeral service will be held Sunday, February 16, at 11 a.m. at United Hebrew Congregation, 13788 Conway Road with internment to follow at Beth Hamedrosh Hagodol Cemetery, 9125 Ladue Road, St. Louis, Missouri, 63124. Visitation with Marlene’s family will be held beginning at 10:30 a.m. until time of service.
