Marion Helen Perkoff, 93
Marion, of Columbia, passed away Thursday, Oct. 12, 2017 in Indianapolis, Ind. She was born December 14, 1923 in St. Louis, the daughter of the late Isadore and Charlotte Ginsberg Maizner. On June 7, 1947, she was united in marriage to Gerald T. Perkoff, M.D. in St. Louis. He preceded her in death on Dec. 25, 2011.
Marion was a graduate of University High School in University City and attended Washington University in St. Louis. She was a homemaker and loved her time with her family. Marion also enjoyed bowling, tennis, needlepoint, cooking, square dancing, art, music, creative party planning and traveling.
She is survived by one son: David Perkoff of Austin, TX; two daughters: Judith Perkoff Smith, husband Thomas of Indianapolis, IN and Susan Perkoff Stombaugh of Kenmore, Washington; and five grandchildren: Hilary Smith, Jeffrey Stombaugh, Rebecca Webb, Marcella Smith and Natalie Phillips-Perkoff. She was preceded in death by one son-in-law: Terry Stombaugh.
Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. Sunday, Oct. 15, 2017 at the Congregation Beth Shalom where a graveside service will follow in Columbia Cemetery. Expressions of sympathy may be made to Congregation Beth Shalom Rabbi’s Discretionary Fund, Alzheimer’s Association or Broadwaycares.org
