Marilyn-Jo Saltzman, 73, passed away peacefully on October 25, 2023 at Evelyn’s House, after a decades long battle with Multiple Sclerosis. Daughter of the late Irving and the late Ruth (Rich) Hartmann, Marilyn-Jo is survived by spouse Leo, loving daughter Heather (Jacob) Lampert, grandchildren Naomi, Bridget and Sawyer Lampert, sister-in-law Beth Saltzman, and brother-in-law Michael (Penny) Saltzman, nephews, a niece, cousins and many friends.

Marilyn-Jo attended University City High School, then the University of Missouri Columbia, a proud member of Alpha Epsilon Phi sorority. She earned a Bachelor’s Degree in education and followed several years later with a Master’s Degree in education from Maryville University.

Marilyn-Jo loved teaching and was extremely proud of her 30 year career as an elementary school educator.  Marilyn-Jo also enjoyed her weekly Mah Jong game with neighborhood friends.

A graveside funeral will be held October 29, 2023, 12:30 PM at Chesed Shel Emeth Cemetery, 650 White Road, Chesterfield, MO 63017.

In Marilyn-Jo’s memory, contributions preferred to NCJW Back to School Store and B’nai Amoona Soup and Challah Fund are welcomed.
