Margaret (Marge) Bilinsky

Margaret (Marge) Bilinsky, October 23, 2016.

Beloved wife for 62 years of Herbert; mother of Alan and Paula; sister of the late Ellen (Ed) Groner; sister-in-law of Brenda (the late Alan) Sumberg, Robert (late Marian) Wolf; our dear aunt, cousin and friend.  Marge devoted her life to the protection of civil liberty, serving as Regional Director of The American Congress for 25 years.  A Holocaust survivor, she served as a docent at the St. Louis Holocaust Museum, using her film, “The Locket,” to connect her family to the atrocities taking place.  This film has been shown on public access TV, is used in schools and institutions here in the U.S. and has been dubbed in German for use in German schools and libraries.  Her greatest wish was that this film would continue to remind people of what can happen and prevent it from happening again.

Visitation is Thursday, October 27, 11:30 a.m., at Congregation B’nai Amoona, 324 S. Mason Road.  Funeral service at 12:00 noon.  Interment at Chesed Shel Emeth Cemetery, 7500 Olive Blvd.  Contributions may be made to Congregation B’nai Amoona, the St. Louis Holocaust Museum or to the Washington University School of Medicine (mail to Sue Donavan, 660 S. Euclid, Box 8111, St. Louis, MO 63110 with memo “Joel Perlmutter Parkinson’s Research”).  Please visit bergermemorialchapel.com for more information.
