Marcia Elaine (Spector) Spasser, a longtime resident of Clayton, passed away on May 9th at Parc Provence in Creve Coeur at the age of 85. She was the beloved daughter of Joseph and Alice (Krisman), dear sister of Marvin and Robert Spector, and was married for 57 years to Frank B. Spasser, who passed away in 2007. She was also a loving and devoted mother to Shelley, who preceded her in death in 2011, and to Mark; a kind and generous mother-in-law to Connie (Corzilius); and a doting and loving grandmother to Alison (attending graduate school in San Francisco) and Abby (attending college in Athens, Georgia). She loved antiques, potskying around, and most of all, her family. She was born in St. Louis and graduated from University City High School (though she liked to gyp school), and she was a loyal aunt, cousin, and friend to many. It is nearly impossible to imagine a world without our mom and our “Gam.” Graveside funeral at 10 a.m. Sunday, May 12th at United Hebrew Cemetery, 7855 Canton Ave., University City. The family will not be sitting Shiva.
