Lois A. (Benson) Rosenfeld

Lois A. (Benson) Rosenfeld, died February 18, 2013. Beloved wife of Jack Spellacy; Born December 27, 1947 in New Rochelle, N.Y. They made their home in Kirkwood, Mo. where she played an active role in the mental health field, both in private practice as well as public service. She received her BA from Wellesley College in 1969 and after studies at the University of Chicago and the University of Berkeley, received her MSW from the Brown School of Social Work at Washington University in St. Louis. For many years she was an active member of the Ethical Society, volunteering her services where needed. A memorial gathering will be held there at a later date. She was an enthusiastic reader of many topics and rarely seen without a book in hand. She was particularly interested in the life and work of the artist Andrew Wyeth and she enjoyed studying the history of dance. The environment of her home and her personal style were expressions of her artistic creativity. She is interred at Jefferson National Cemetery.
