Lillian S. Gitt, died June 16, 2014. Lillian was born in St. Louis to Max and Jennie Broida, and was one of four sisters; Helen, Roz, Lillian and Jane. They were all attractive, athletic, smart and accomplished. Lil met Tabby (Theodore Gitt) in Forest Park, were married shortly after, and the Gitt clan emerged. They had two children, Jerry (Marilyn) and Jeffrey (Susan), as well as three grandchildren, Brian, Andrew and Cory Gitt. She also had 5 great- grandchildren, Moshe, Ezra, Ahuva, Meira and Marcus Gitt. The entire family is proud to be part of the Lillian Gitt legacy and heritage, standing for good friendship, honesty, direct and simple goodness and sincerity, athleticism, giving everything while never expecting anything in return, never complaining or talking badly about anyone. She was multi-talented, a great wife, mother, dear grandmother and great-grandmother. Alexandra and Whitney, her two step-grandchildren were an extra sweet addition to her family along the way.
